Construction kits provide a good medium for modelling as parts can be assembled quickly, ideas tried out, components moved etc. Children find it hard sometimes, to move from the kit to a material like wood as the two look different and have quite different characteristics.
Remember that it is acceptable for your audit to tell you that you need to find out more about the teaching in an age range, for example. What you must do is build a plan of action to get that information. These short, medium and long term plans are useful to organise and prioritise your work, not a stick to beat yourself with. If you are unable to achieve aims, reschedule them.
