Why didn’t I fall down along with everyone else? Why didn’t I break into laughter or have some of the other manifestations I saw people having? I still thought something was wrong with me since I wasn’t experiencing or understanding everything that I thought I should. I still returned to those old, familiar thoughts and conclusions, which, by the way, were wrong! I wanted to be more sensitive, more able to be a carrier of His presence, but I just didn’t respond to God’s presence in the same way other people were responding.

We see an amazing contrast here in Acts 3. First, we see Peter and John saying, “Look at us” in verse 4. ” If it’s not our glory to take when the miracle happens, why do we take the burden upon ourselves when it does not? I believe that if we take the burden, we will end up taking the glory.
